Resources to Support YOUR Content Area

This was not that hard because I "cheated". Really I used a short cut, I went to a peer's teacher webpage and looked up their resources. Using Delicious gave me the idea. I looked at a peer's webpage whom I respect and know to have resources. I would not want to do a blind search for a website, not because I think it would be hard. Rather because it would be time consuming. I am not willing to give up my time and put effort into looking for information blindly when I know I can use the blood, sweat, and tears of others:-)

  1. I think it is a wise use of time to go to a trusted colleague's site and see what resources they are using and then borrow from them....that's collaboration...and we have to work smarter, not harder. This is one of the greatest things about Web 2.0...it allows people to create and share what they have learned...so all benefit! And in the end...it's the students that benefit the most!

  2. I should have thought of that, using the Delicious bookmarks. Thanks for the tip.

  3. Isn't that the point of Professional Learning Networks? Sounds to me like you applied what you learned in Essential #11.

  4. I agree with all the comments posted already... We all know that good teachers "steal" many of their ideas and lessons from other teachers. And many here at LPS have some great links and some great ideas!

That is collaboration for sure... I would even think (or envision) a site where all the teachers of a subject or grade could post the good websites or resources once, then everybody link to that...

    Good job..
